Does it really work with no signal?

Yes. The map, search, site details and your saved places are stored on the phone and render with the network off. Download your state under Plan, Downloads before you leave and the map tiles come with you. When you are offline the app says so at the top of the screen rather than quietly showing you old data as though it were current.

How do I delete my account?

Sign in, then Settings, Delete account. It is one tap and a confirmation. Your profile, reviews, photos, saved sites and trips are queued for deletion, and you have 14 days to change your mind by signing back in. After that it is purged and cannot be recovered.

Do my photos give away where I camp?

No. The location embedded in a photo is stripped on the phone before the upload starts, so we never receive it. If you would rather keep it there is a switch in Settings, and it is off until you turn it on.

Why did I not get a fire alert?

Alerts only reach you if notifications are switched on for OzCamps and you have a state or a saved site subscribed. They also respect your quiet hours. Coverage is not the same in every state: where we cannot reach a state authority the app says so plainly rather than implying an all clear. Always check your state fire service before you travel.

Where do the campsites come from?

Open government datasets, published under licences that permit reuse, plus corrections and additions from campers. Every source is listed with its licence on the attribution page. If a site is wrong, tell us and we will fix it.

What does it cost?

Version 1.0 is free with every feature included. There is no subscription and nothing to buy inside the app.
