Using OzCamps means agreeing to these terms. They are short on purpose.

Safety comes first, and the app is not it

OzCamps shows fire warnings, road and park closures, tide times, cell coverage and track conditions. All of it can be wrong, stale, or missing — it is drawn from public feeds and from other campers, and neither is a guarantee.

Do not rely on this app alone for a decision that affects your safety. Check the official source for your state, tell someone where you are going, and carry a way to call for help that does not depend on a phone tower.

Conditions on a remote track change faster than any app can follow. Your judgement on the ground beats anything on the screen.

What you post

You keep ownership of your reviews, photos and tracks. By posting them you give us permission to show them in the app to other campers.

Post things that are true and your own. No abuse, no harassment, no material you do not have the right to share, and nothing that would put another camper in danger — a deliberately wrong track rating is a safety problem, not a joke.

Anyone can report a photo or a review. We remove content that breaches these terms, and we can suspend an account that keeps doing it.

Access to camp sites

A site appearing in OzCamps is not permission to camp there. Access rules, permits, fees, seasonal closures and private land boundaries are the land manager's to set and yours to check.

Leave no trace, take your rubbish, and respect Country.

Cost

Version 1.0 is free, with every feature included. There is no subscription and nothing to buy inside the app.

What we promise

We do our best to keep the data accurate and the app working, but we provide it as-is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from your use of it. Nothing here excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.

Ending it

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. We can close an account that breaches these terms. These terms are governed by the law of New South Wales, Australia.
